Selling Your Home hint

I read in the Smart Moves column by Ellen James Martin that "Many real estate specialists no longer advocate the use of air fresheners and scented candles.  There should be no odors or smells--not even sweet potpourri.  ...a lot of people have allergies to these scents.  And others will wonder what you're trying to camouflage..."

Magistria: The Realm of the Sorcerer blurb

Magistria: Realm of the Sorcerer, a shared world anthology, is now available in paperback.  My story in this anthology is Seedlings, and it's about Juul, a plant mage, and Skyseeker, her tree companion, other sentient plants and trees, the rescue of Lani's children after their escape, the nurturing of children and plants, and finally their battle against an evil sorcerer and his spider-like creatures as they spit acid and trample the hobble hedge to break through the barriers of the guardian plants. You can check out the anthology at: http://www.lulu.com/content/125468

Kings of the Night II blurb

Kings of the Night II, an anthology of 15 tales of heroic fantasy (sword and sorcery), is now available in paperback.  My story, The Princess Quest, is a light-hearted look at sword & sorcery.  Not only must Mara succeed with her quest to find and defeat Tigress before Mara can become queen, she has to persuade the barbarian (he probably wasn't all that clean before the dungeon) to bathe.  (You can only push him into the river once lest he become suspicious.) Check it out: http://www.lulu.com/content/124134   Lots of blood, barbarians, and nasty creatures in the other stories...  (And I've never seen so many spilling entrails...)

Star Wars! Share the light!!

I saw the first Star Wars--and some films more than once; and I can still remember how sorry I was to have to wait to see how Han Solo was rescued!!  (Gnashing of teeth.)  So, if anyone sees Star Wars Episode III before I do, please tell me how you liked it.  In the meantime, I'll be playing with my Star Wars Light-Up SaberSpoon.  (You can find them in Kellogg's Frosted Flakes boxes.  You put it together, follow the instructions, and it works!)  Enjoy.

Oasis in Orlando

I'll be at Oasis in Orlando Memorial Day weekend, and I'll have my book, Building a Cool House for Hot Times without Scorching the Pocketbook; my time travel tales audiobook Sugar Time (CD and cassette); and my last copy of The Ghost in the Gazebo, an anthology with my story, Old Rex.  Look for me in the Dealers' Room.  I'll have lots of fun SF books and items also.  Feel free to just stop by and say Hi!

You can adopt a wolf through the National Wildlife Federation: https://secure.nwf.org/donationSystem/index.cfm...  (A friend gave me this as a birthday gift a few years ago.)  You can also adopt a panther.  You get a plush toy, an adoption certificate, and a subscription to National Wildlife magazine, which is a great magazine full of beautiful pictures.

House Detective

House Detective is one of my favorite shows on HGTV.  House inspectors check out two homes in each episode, and you can learn what to watch out for at your home.  In a recent show, the bathroom's moisture problem was caused by homeowners removing the exhaust fan and replacing it with a skylight...
