Tomas is now a category 1 hurricane; it's moving WNW and is expected to become a category 3 by Thursday. It's expected to turn north later.
Update (10-31): Tomas is still heading west and is now a tropical storm. It's expected to become a category 1 hurricane again about the time it turns north. This one should miss Florida too.
Update (11-3): Tomas is now a tropical depression.
Update (11-4): And now Tomas is a tropical storm again and may become a cat 1 hurricane. It's moving NNW...
