Fall fun

The October issue of Southern Living is full of fall decorating ideas, including pumpkins and plants; there are some interesting heirloom pumpkin varieties, including Rouge Vif D'etampes.  (Rouge Vif is bright red in French.) There are also articles on restoring a log cabin and a dance hall, plus tempting recipes, such as Mississippi Mud S'Mores-Fudge Pie and Mississippi Mud Cupcakes. And I love the gardens and fall colors; the octagonal fountain with grasses, lilies, and colorful floating glass balls is eye-catching.  They remind me of my solar spheres.
