Color tips: Use dark green on furniture pieces, such as a chair or kitchen island, then use blue and white to make the room more inviting.  And layer blue and white on a bed.  Use touches of a light color, such as pink, to keep your eyes moving around a space.  See the issue for more ideas for focal points.

 

Entertaining: For buffets using paper plates, punch a hole in the edge of the paper plate, and tie a cord around the plastic utensils and napkins and put it through the hole.  Tie it tight.  And don't miss the festive flowers made from drink umbrellas.

 

Recipes include a fig crostata.  (Looks sort of like a pizza.)  And the S'more cookies look tasty.
